Thoughts of Friends

Thoughts of Friends
8-24-2011

I am a raging beast
and your face reminds me
of the years where I hugged misery,
you all kept me afloat

When time dragged me forwards
I still remembered days where no other query
Was to see your shining face,
And now - when you appear

I hide brazen race
Someone's raised a hand,
All too easy to connect skin-
When just a mass of worry

Hell, how fond do clouds return
Music pulls me hours, weeks away
Balancing on the edge within sight
Troposphere keep me alight.

How quickly did you pass [into]
My vision, which is hazy and sleep [aloft]
With the sky setting quickly
Dreamers miss failing sunlight, I also.

Do you wait for resolution
Or the running sun to wake you-
You that keep shadows as lovers,
Covering soft pallid skin from view

Or did you see my flailing arms
Draw strokes luminescent in night sky,
Driving rain did not drive me off-
On the doorstep of release I bawled

Wishing for a light to set me afire
All cursory comment debilitate inspired near-hate
Legs and trunk move quicker under lash
Of burning detail of rambling lips rash

Now I may sit when the day slows around me
And get pulled in a thousand directions,
Perhaps forget where I am or where I go-
But never what lies inside (thoughts aside)
